Many of you know I'm a video producer. Most of my projects end up on corporate websites, television or YouTube. In recent years, Book Trailers have become popular, and I've created a few of those as well along with a couple of short videos with some tips about getting the most our of your Book Trailer (Part 1 & Part 2).
Book Trailers can be expensive depending on where you go. I've whittled my rates down to accommodate nearly everyone, but I might have an even better idea for you. I recently estimated a Book Trailer out at about $250. If you were willing to put some work into it, how would you like to have a professional looking trailer for around $30?
Animoto is an online video service that appears to offer a great set of options for a high-quality professional look. For $30, you have access to templates, themes, music, etc., With Animoto, you can make a great looking trailer that, quite frankly, will rival what can do for you - and I obviously can't touch that price.
I'm all for the do-it-yourselfer! If I can do it myself with the right tools, then I usually will. This looks like an awesome tool that anyone can use and could save you a bundle on a Book Trailer. Then you can put more money into the rest of your marketing. If you give Animoto a try, please comment below and let us all know what your experience is like. Maybe we'll put your book trailer somewhere here on Clever Fiction too!
Good Luck!
